Trip.com promo codes for Japan 2026

Trip.com prints exactly two codes a reader can type. Everything else it gives Japan is a coupon claimed on its own campaign page, released in weekly batches — so this lists both, says which is which, and names the page each one came from.

Each row is current as of 18 October 2026, and the page it came from is named on the card. Nothing you type on this page leaves it.

1Two codes you type, eight coupons you claim

Trip.com does not run a code list the way Klook does. Its own promo pages carry two codes that work on Japan bookings — TRIPFLIGHT26 for a first flight booking and TRIPCAR8 for car rental — and both are written for an account that has never booked that product. Everything else is a coupon: you press claim on Trip.com's campaign page, it lands in the account's wallet, and it is applied at checkout without a code ever being typed.

That split is the reason this page exists in a different shape from the Klook and KKday ones. A list of Trip.com codes for Japan would be two lines long, and it would miss the four Japan offers that are actually worth more — the airport-transfer coupon, the hotel drop, the rail coupon and the car-rental coupon. Each card says where the offer applies.

2The Japan offers are released in weekly batches

The Japan campaign page carries four tabs — hotels, trains, car rental, airport transfers — and each tab holds the coupons Trip.com is currently giving away for that product. They are re-stocked every Wednesday at 12:00, and when a batch runs out the tile reads "Fully redeemed" until the next drop. The hotel tile shows exactly that: up to US$75 off a Japan hotel booking, all claimed for the week.

So a coupon that is missing today is not gone. It is the same coupon next Wednesday, and the page is the authority on what it is worth when it comes back — which is why the card quotes the tile rather than the coupon.

3The caps decide what each one is worth

    • Japan Rail, 5% off capped at US$5. The cap bites above US$100 of rail spend, which is every JR Pass tier, so the coupon is US$5 whether the pass is a 7-day or a 21-day one. It is a nudge rather than a saving on a rail-heavy trip.
    • Airport transfer, 10% off with no cap printed, Japan only. On a Narita-to-central-Tokyo transfer it is the largest single item here, and Trip.com prints no ceiling on it.
    • Car rental, 8% off with no cap printed. This is the one coupon in the set that is not written for new accounts, so it is the one to use if the account has rented through Trip.com before. TRIPCAR8 is its new-account twin.
    • Hotel, three nights or more, 5% off capped at US$15. A three-night Tokyo stay at US$120 a night saves the full US$15; a dearer stay saves the same US$15.

None of those numbers come from us. They are printed on Trip.com's own tiles, and the card quotes the tile's wording.

4Why a code or a coupon is refused

    • The account is not new. TRIPFLIGHT26, TRIPCAR8, the rail coupon and the new-user hotel and tickets coupons are all written for an account that has not booked that product before. A second booking on the same account gets nothing.
    • It was never claimed. Eight of the ten rows here are claimed, not typed. A coupon copied from a list somewhere else does not exist on the account, and the checkout field will not accept it.
    • The payment currency is wrong for it. The new-user hotel coupon is published for accounts paying in USD, SGD or THB. Trip.com runs the same coupon per market, and the app decides which one an account is shown.
    • The basket is already discounted. Trip.com does not pay a discount on the promo-code, voucher, gift-card or trip-coins part of an order. A booking that is already 10% down takes a smaller percentage on top than the headline suggests.
    • The week's stock has gone. The Japan tabs are allocations, not standing offers. "Fully redeemed" on a Wednesday afternoon means the next drop, not a permanent end.

5How the list is kept honest

Every row carries the day its booking window closes where Trip.com prints one, and a row whose window has closed is dropped at build time rather than left on the page with a line through it. The four Japan tabs carry no closing date because they are re-stocked weekly, and those rows carry no date for the same reason — the card says so instead of inventing one.

Two things Trip.com's pages do not state, and this page does not either: there is no commission rate printed for railcards, and no coupon here has a published spend floor. Where a floor is printed elsewhere, the card quotes it; where the tile prints "no cap", the card says no cap rather than assuming a limit.
