1Who writes this

The site is written and kept up to date by one person. I travel to Japan with a notebook and a phone, work out the things that would have saved money or an hour on the way, and write them up afterwards. There is no editorial team, no agency and no staff behind it: one writer, one site, and a handful of guides rather than a thousand.

That is deliberate. A small site can rewrite a whole guide when a rule changes, instead of leaving it standing with a warning at the top. Everything published here is something I have had to work out for myself.

2Photographs

Photographs are public-domain, Creative Commons or free-stock images, credited under each one with its source and licence. The guide text is written for this site.

3Corrections

If a figure is wrong or has been overtaken, the guide is corrected and the updated date at the top of it changes. Corrections get made, not disclaimed.

This site does not publish a contact address.

4Terms

Using the site, quoting it and relying on it are covered by the terms of use. What is and is not collected is covered by the privacy policy.
